You can not stop living just because you have to prepare for exam, it would be better if students start preparing for them the same way one does for internal exams, there will be lesser pressure then............It again becomes parent’s responsibility not to burden their child, but then do adults ever listen. If elders started saying that boards are not all that important, they actually will loose importance and their importance is what makes them such a scare. I should ask parents to just let their child deal with the studies and keep the atmosphere light and not tensed.
The best thing a student can do is isolate himself from all the ‘disturbing’ elements, your relatives and well wishers and all. Remain connected to your friends and try to enjoy the period instead of feeling like its taking ages for the exam dates to approach and another age for them to end.

The period between the exams and the results is quite traumatic for children. The sad part is that even parents try to pressurise their children with their demands. "We have to keep pressurising our children, otherwise they start taking things for granted. And as parents, we also expect our children to get good marks. It's not just a question of their reputation, but also ours as we too would be responsible for their good or bad results....
Psychologists believe that this is the period when a child needs parents' support and help to come out of this pressure. "Parents should be more supportive, talk to their child more, and also prepare them for the outcome whether it's good or bad. Students should think of more options rather than taking tension because the latter can only harm them,"

study ahead of time, every night after class reveiw your notes and make a list of topics that are harder for you, at the end of everyweek review those topics. if you study throughout the semester then you will actually know the material and wont just be cramming, so that when you study before the exam its just a refresher.
if you are prepared and just freaking out, try and relax the night before the exam. dont study the night before! you either know it by then or you dont.
during the test use other questions to help you answer ones you have trouble with, and go with your first answer. usually its the right one.
and accept that you are gonna do the best you can do, and that will have to be good enough.

Best of luck to all students from my side....now stop discussing and go to study :)
