Teleportec has proven, high quality distance communication solutions designed to provide your organisation with a realistic alternative to travel. This unique technology enables people to appear live, life-sized within an apparent 3-D environment in a remote location and achieve eye-to-eye contact with all participants.
With no visible cameras or monitors our systems are user friendly, require minimum training and can be installed to suit your individual requirements.
The technology is compatible with standard video conferencing equipment and can use a range of connectivity options including ISDN, T1 and IP. Teleportec upgrades are now also available for existing video conferencing users. Group-to-group and multi-site communication is also possible.

The Technology
The network for teleportation uses an ISDN or T1 line and codec on each
end of the transmission to transmit images across the world. Teleportec
produces three products: the Teleportec Desk and Teleportec Conference Table
for an office style presentation and the Teleportec Lectern for an audience
style presentation.
A presenter is comfortably seated at a Teleportec Desk, which has a large
video display that shows an audience view at the distant location. This view
has the same aspect ratio with the same line of sight that the presenter would
actually see if he or she were in the same room.
Immediately in front of the presenter is a computer monitor that controls
transmission operations and access to digital resource material. This monitor
may be used for confidential information since it is not shared with the
audience. The computer has a second monitor that displays the visual material
to be shared with the audience. For one-to-one communication the remote
location uses a desk.
"Teleportec conferencing has particular application for distance learning,
for which the most critical need is face-to-face communication
Through teleportation, users are able to
experience the exchange of a student/teacher relationship without being in the
same location. This market is dependent on imparting knowledge through
personal communication in combination with the presentation of information."
