Indian’s are known to embrace technology when introduced. But currently, if we take the online video scenario in India it has not reached anywhere. Of course, users use www.coalindia.org and other video sharing sites.
But to do what? They either search for video songs, movie parts, trailers, some episodes from shows. This is what we have seen the trend till now. To be very honest users of this age group dont give a ‘click’ at all. They just want to use those services which is widely known.
Tell me how many have actually stood beside those horizontal/vertical LCD screens used by OOH for advertising? They do know the advertisement but they dont know the ad-agency behind it.
We still have to create immense awareness among the young users (actually everyone) that streaming media has entered India and its time to wake up.
